Top 5 Kitchen Problems Fixed for You.
Problem 1: Not enough storage space
Fixed: Take a Marie Kondo moment and separate what you truly don’t need from what you have to have in your kitchen cabinets and get creative about making full use of the space available in your kitchen drawers and cupboard. Remember to use vertical space for putting in more cabinets to increase storage space, or to hand pots, pans, and other kitchen appliances!
Problem 2: Your kitchen splashback keeps getting messy and is hard to clean
Fixed: When you invest in a splashback, it’s important to know what you’re prioritising. If you hate having to scrub up regularly, and want a splashback that’s easy to wipe down, a solid or glass splashback should be your go-to. Try to avoid tiled splashbacks with grout if you’re after an easy-to clean option, as these often are notoriously fiddly to clean.
Problem 3: Your kitchen’s design has started to look boring
Fixed: Sometimes your all-white sleek kitchen can start to look lacklustre if you don’t bring out its stylishness with some appliances and lighting. Play around with warm decorative lighting, a pop of colour in your bar stools or fabrics, potted plants, and different textures or shades in the finish of your cabinets.
Problem 4: Your sink looks great, but is annoying and hard to clean up
Fixed: This is a big practical decision which requires forethought—do you need a roomy sink that might not look as sleek, but gives you space to soak big dishes in? Do you need to add a small second sink to rinse vegetables? Assess your cooking and washing-up habits before you invest in a sink!
Problem 5: Your kitchen becomes too crowded with more than one person in it
Fixed: Place the most-used appliances such as the fridge, dishwasher, and pantry at the ends of the kitchen or in a position where they are easily accessible without having to walk through the kitchen. Try to put your cutlery, glasses, and plates in the drawers down the ends too–this way, people can stroll in and out to grab a snack or get a drink while staying out of your way as you cook and freeing up the central space!
